The BTV Winter Market

We are planning on presenting 30 vendors each day. All vendor booths will be indoors.

Yes, all vendors will get an 6x6 space with access to power upon request. Vendors are responsible for their own displays, additional lighting or décor, table(s), chairs and any materials needed for setting up your display.

Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate cooking onsite. However, we are able to accept vendors with prepared or pre-packaged food items

Winter Market weekends will be rain, snow or shine with the exception of extreme weather calls from NOAA, which includes a severe weather warning or winter storm warning for our area. If extreme weather prohibits a market from happening it will be delayed or canceled by 2 pm on Friday and 9am on Saturday. We will delay the market start by up to 1 hour, with a start at 5pm on Friday and 12 noon on Saturday if the weather changes. Our full weather policy will be available as a page on your vendor profile if you are admitted.

Both locations will have load in and load out zones available for vendors. Additional information around timing and location of these zones will be provided once you are accepted into the market. Vendors are responsible for their own parking; staff will provide a list of parking options for each location. 

Yes! Wi-Fi will be provided at both locations.

Yes. For those who are vending both days at the BTV Market at Contois, you will be able to store materials overnight.

Getting insurance to cover you and your merchandise may seem like a big step, but insurance is a good idea for all involved. It helps protect you and your merchandise in the event of a mishap. Getting liability insurance isn’t always as expensive as it seems and it can be used in any other endeavors of your small business. We are happy to share resources or assist you in getting insurance. We are requiring proof of insurance for participation. Please reach out with further questions or if this presents a challenge.

A four-person panel made of up City of Burlington employees from a variety of departments will review all applications at the same time and create a pool of diverse vendors for the BTV Winter Market. Once approved, applicants will be notified the week of October 20th regarding their acceptance and schedule. Finally, we will look at all of the date requests and program each market to have a good range of offerings, working within the date selections each vendor made.
