BTV Love Notes are taking over downtown!

All February long, starting Monday, February 2, love notes will be hanging in participating downtown businesses as part of our Month of Love celebration. Think windows, walls, and counters sprinkled with pink, hearts, and handwritten love for Burlington and the people who make it special.

These short, sweet notes were submitted by the community and are now out in the world, ready to be spotted while you shop, sip, stroll, and explore. From shoutouts to favorite businesses, besties, moms, pets, and all things BTV, our downtown core is officially wrapped in love!

What to expect:

• Love notes displayed in participating downtown businesses* all month long.
• A downtown core decked out in pink + heart-filled vibes.
• A little joy tucked into everyday errands and coffee runs.
• Keep your eyes peeled, snap a pic (tag us @loveburlington), and soak it all in. February in Burlington just got extra lovely!

As you shop, dine, and stroll the Marketplace this Valentine’s Day weekend (2/13 - 2/15), enjoy a little extra love along the way. Select Marketplace businesses will share complimentary chocolates from Lake Champlain Chocolates. Because nothing says love like a sweet local treat. Consider it our way of making your downtown wander even sweeter!

The Marketplace will be glowing with festive light pole banners and twinkling tree lights, setting the perfect mood for cozy strolls and magical evenings.

Heart to Heart

We're putting our interactive sculpture celebrating the power of human connection back out on the Church Street Marketplace. 3rd Block (outside Zinnia).

Here's how it works: When two individuals touch its electrodes and form a human chain, their shared energy completes a circuit, illuminating a glowing red heart. The sculpture symbolizes the transformative energy of connection and its ability to ignite and sustain love.

About the Artist: Clay Mohrman
Clay Mohrman is a lighting artist and the founder of Clay Mohr Lighting, based in Burlington, VT. He specializes in creating unique lighting sculptures that blend a variety of materials and LED technology for indoor and outdoor spaces. His work explores the intersection of nature, light, and emotion, using illumination as a medium to foster deeper connections between people and their environments.
